Easy English Bible is a wonderful site full of great resources for both basic literacy students and English language learners. The website has been created by MissionAssist, which is a Christian charity based in the UK. It is part of the Wycliffe Global Alliance and a member of the Evangelical Alliance.
On the Easy English Bible website you will find a complete on-line Bible in Easy English as well as many, many short, very easy to read Bible stories. which can be accessed by downloading them. They can then be printed and used with your student.

Jesus crossed to the other side of lake Galilee in a boat. He got out of the boat. A big crowd gathered round him. A woman who had been ill for twelve years was in the crowd. She had been to see lots of doctors. She had spent all her money. She wanted to get better. But she had got worse.
