WHO WE ARE
Hope Adult Learning is a 501(c)(3) Christ-centered ministry that believes we can transform lives through giving literacy and language skills for life and life forever through Jesus Christ. By bringing adults who struggle with basic reading skills together with trained tutors, we can make our students' life-long literacy dreams come true. By helping ESL students improve their English language skills, we help them to more fully participate in the communities in which they live.
MISSION
Our mission is transforming adults' lives by opening the world of words for them and allowing them to open the Word of God for themselves.
VISION
Our vision is to see our adult learners reach their personal literacy and language goals and move closer to God from wherever they are.
METHOD
After completing an intensive 15 hour training, literacy tutors work one-on-one with a literacy student. They meet twice a week at a location and time that is convenient for both. Tutors are trained to use a wide range of materials in order to meet their student's needs, engage their interest and help them achieve their own personal goals.
After training, ESL teachers work with a small group of English language learners helping them gain the English skills they need most.
